Satisfactory Update 7 has been unleashed on the experimental branch of the game, and there's good news if you've been waiting for a way to save some of your designs. This new update is adding the ability to create and save Blueprints, as well as new creature behaviors, tweaks to existing mechanics, and more.
Back in September, the sixth major update for Satisfactory was released, overhauling the game's Spire Coast biome and adding much more besides. Now, Satisfactory Update 7 is making your construction efforts simpler and more convenient by adding Blueprints, which you can save and adjust within the new Blueprint Designer building.
As well as Blueprints, you'll also find two new creature modes: passive and retaliating. Passive creatures won't attack you no matter how much damage you do to them, while retaliating creatures will only attack if you strike first. You can change this setting in the Advanced Gameplay Settings menu, so be sure to pick the one that works for you.

If you've played Satisfactory a bunch, you'll probably be familiar with the Overclocking mechanic, which lets you produce buildings faster or slower and adjust the power cost accordingly. Update 7 lowers the exponential cost change, balancing the costs of overclocking and underclocking.
You'll also find new stuff including conveyor ceiling mounts, a sprinting mode for the zipline, and plenty of bug fixes and mechanic changes. All in all, it's a pretty substantial Satisfactory update, and you can download it right now if you're on the game's experimental branch (which you can access via the Steam properties page for Satisfactory).
Be sure to take a look at the full Satisfactory Update 7 patch notes to see everything that's changed. If you haven't already, you can grab Satisfactory on Steam right now, where it's currently in Early Access. It'll set you back $29.99.
