Our guide will tell you how to get all of the Once Human resources you'll need for crafting including Tin Ore, Standard Part, and more!

A big part of Once Human is crafting the items you need and building up your base, but you can't just make something out of nothing — you'll need all sorts of crafting resources to create these items. Read on to learn where to find the basic resources you'll need!

How to Get Crafting Resources in Once Human

There are five ways to get crafting resources in Once Human:

  1. Gathering Raw Materials: Some items (such as Logs) are most easily acquired by gathering them in the natural world.
  2. Processing Raw Materials: Certain crafting resources need to be refined from raw resources. For instance, you can turn Logs into Charcoal at a Furnace, and that's the easiest way to get Charcoal.
  3. Disassembling Scrap: Once you get the Disassembly Bench, you can turn the random Scrap you find (such as Ballpoint Pens, Staplers, Toilet Plungers, etc.) into other resources such as Adhesive, Shabby Fabric, Rusted Parts, and the like.
  4. Killing enemies: You can get certain resources (such as Acid) by killing enemies. Naturally, different enemies drop different types of resources; as an example, the human bandits you'll encounter in Level 10+ areas will drop Gunpowder instead of Acid.
  5. Completing Tasks: Completing Story Tasks (or Tasks found throughout the world) may reward you with some resources.

In the early game, killing enemies will give you a reliable supply of Acid (and a handful of other materials).

Once Human Resources List | How to Get Crafting Materials

Here are all of the Once Human Resources we've found thus far and where you can get them. We'll also list which items can be put into a Disassembly Bench to get you these resources and how much of each resource you get from disassembling it.

Note that most items you put into a Disassembly Bench will give you multiple resources. For example, Disassembling a Toilet Plunger will give you 2 Metal Scraps, 2 Rubber, and 1 Adhesive.

How to Get Acid

Disassembly Bench Sources: Chemical Agent (1)

The most common source of Acid is from killing the various zombie-like and otherworldly enemies that you'll encounter in the game, especially in zones that are rated for Level 10 and lower.

How to Get Adhesive

Adhesive is commonly found by Disassembling a wide variety of items that you can look at points of interest.

How to Get All-Purpose Plastic

Disassembly Bench Sources: Chemical Agent (2), Employee Badge (2), Golf Club Head (2), Milk Frother (2), Piston (2), Swimming Ring (1)

All-Purpose Plastic can typically be found by Disassembling the Scrap that you'll find in areas rated for Level 10 and higher.

How to Get Copper Ingot

Disassembly Bench Sources: Broken Flashlight (1), Fire Extinguisher (1)

Although you can get Copper Ingot by Scrapping a handful of items, you'll most commonly get it by refining Copper Ore in a Furnace.

Copper Ingot is used to craft many electrical items and your first tier of equipment. Critically, you'll need Copper Ingot to make a Copper Pickaxe which can be used to harvest higher-tier resources such as Tin Ore.

How to Get Copper Ore

Disassembly Bench Sources: N/A

Copper Ore can be found all throughout the world; all you need to do is look for the rocks with yellowish crystals sticking out of them.

You can harvest Copper Ore with no tools whatsoever, although it's preferable to use a Pickaxe if you can.

How to Get Cotton Fabric

Disassembly Bench Sources: Ammo Pack (2), Basketball (2), Book (1), Camouflage Bag (3), Old Currency (2), Satchel (3), Shirt (3), Swimming Ring (2)

You can get Cotton Fabric by Disassembling a handful of items in the early game; it's much easier to find once you start exploring areas rated for Level 10 and higher.

How to Get Electronic Part

Disassembly Bench Sources: Clock (2), Desk Phone (2), Headphones (2), Monitor (2), Printer (2), Smartphone (2), Walkie Talkie (2), Wireless Router (2)

Electronic Part can be acquired by Disassembling items found in Level 10 areas and higher.

How to Get Gravel

Disassembly Bench Sources: N/A

You can get Gravel by breaking up the large boulders that can be found throughout the world in Once Human.

Additionally, you can get Gravel as a byproduct of breaking up other rocks that contain ores such as Copper, Sulfur, and Tin.

How to Get Log

Disassembly Bench Sources: N/A

As you might expect, you can get Log by cutting down trees all over the world of Once Human.

How to Get Metal Scraps

Disassembly Bench Sources: Alarm Clock (3), Coat Hangar (4), Connector Firmware (3), Fire Extinguisher (1), Gardening Shears (6), Gas Welding Torch (4), Headphones (1), Jack (3), Kettle (4), Lantern (4), Milk Frother (3), Monitor (1), Paint Brush (1), Photo Frame (2), Piston (3), Printer (1), Scrap Coarse Barrel (3), Scrap Standard Body (1), Scrap Coarse Stock (3), Scrap Standard Barrel (1), Scrap Standard Stock (3), Stapler (3), Steel Pliers (4), Table Fan (4), Thermos Cup (4), Toilet Plunger (1), Wrench (4)

How to Get Rubber

Disassembly Bench Sources: Alarm Clock (1), Ballpoint Pen (2), Coat Hangar (1), Connector Firmware (1), Chess Board (3), Desk Lamp (2), Desk Phone (2), Employee Badge (2), Football (1), Glue (2), Headphones (1), Jump Rope (1), Monitor (2), Photo Frame (2), Plastic Card (2), Stapler (1), Table Fan (1), Thermos Cup (1), Toilet Plunger (2), Vanity (2), Walkie Talkie (1), Wireless Router (1)

You can get Metal Scraps by Disassembling a wide variety of items that can be found in points of interest.

How to Get Rusted Parts

Disassembly Bench Sources: Broken Flashlight (1), Connector Firmware (2), Jack (4), Gas Welding Torch (2), Lantern (2), Scrap Coarse Barrel (1), Scrap Coarse Stock (1), Table Fan (1)

Rusted Parts can be acquired by Disassembling items that are largely found in points of interest rated Level 10 and below, although you can occasionally find it in higher-level areas in my experience.

How to Get Shabby Fabric

Disassembly Bench Sources: Blanket (4), Camouflage Bag (1),  Fabric (3), Football (2), Jacket (3), Jump Rope (2), Old Clothing (4)

You can get Shabby Fabric by disassembling a small number of items that can be found in low-level points of interest.

How to Get Silver Ore

Silver Ore and Tin Ore on a beach in Once Human
Silver Ore (left) looks similar to Tin Ore (right) at a glance — take care not to confuse them, especially since Silver Ore is much rarer.

Disassembly Bench Sources: N/A

Silver Ore is a rare resource that can be found throughout the world as far as we can tell. You might find one ore vein within an entire zone if you're fortunate. It looks similar to Tin Ore, so make sure to understand the differences between the two before ignoring them!

As with Tin Ore, you won't be able to harvest Tin Ore unless you have a Copper Pickaxe.

How to Get Standard Part

Disassembly Bench Sources: Clock (2), Desk Lamp (2), Desk Phone (2), Fire Extinguisher (2), Piston (1), Printer (1), Headphones (2), Scrap Standard Barrel (2), Scrap Standard Body (2), Scrap Standard Stock (2), Walkie Talkie (2), Wireless Router (1)

You can only get Standard Part by Disassembling items found in areas rated for Level 10 and higher; you won't really be able to find it in the low-level areas at the start of the game.

How to Get Sulfur

Disassembly Bench Sources: N/A

Sulfur can be found throughout the world of Once Human; it can be found in the rocks with yellow powder on them.

You won't need Sulfur for much in the early game, but it forms a critical component of Gunpowder. You're going to need a fair amount of Sulfur to craft your own ammo once you start making guns!

How to Get Tin Ore

Disassembly Bench Sources: N/A

You can get Tin Ore by exploring areas rated for Level 10 and higher. Tin Ore has roughly the same shape as Copper Ore, but it has a grey color. The closest (and safest) area you can get it is the parts of Broken Delta rated for Level 12, across the river to the southwest of Deadsville.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to harvest Tin Ore until you've unlocked the Copper Pickaxe and crafted it.

How to Get Waste Plastic

Disassembly Bench Sources: Blanket (1), Gardening Shears (3), Glue (1), Paint Brush (2), Plastic Card (3), Steel Piliers (2), Water Bottle (2), Wrench (4)

You can get Waste Plastic by Disassembling a small number of items.
